Fortify Ventures was the first institutional check into Hinge, a dating app designed to be deleted, meaning it aims to help users find meaningful, long-term relationships rather than casual hookups.

Unlike swipe-based apps, Hinge encourages users to engage with each other’s profiles by liking and commenting on specific parts, such as photos or prompts.

Hinge was acquired by March Group in 2019.
